Applied Imaging was recently named one of the 2020 Cool Places to Work in Michigan. The awards program was created in 2012 by Crain’s Detroit Business, partnered with the Best Companies Group. This award program is derived from a statewide, employee-answered survey to recognize those companies who take pride in making their office environments “cool places” thus increasing morale and the economy.
The 2020 Cool Places to Work in Michigan list is made up of 100 companies in 3 size categories: Small – (15-49 employees), Medium (50-249 employees), and Large (250+ employees.) With Applied Imaging coming in with over 400 employees statewide (and growing), they took place 81 in the list.
To be considered for participation, businesses must go through a rigorous questionnaire, showcasing employee benefits, facilities, activities, and unique differentiators. Companies across the state entered the two-part process – first starting out with the business qualification questionnaire – which evaluated policies, practices, and demographics. The second part consisted of a Best Companies administered employee survey to measure the morale and employee experience (which was the largest portion of the qualifiers.)
Applied Imaging was recognized during an Aug. 14 virtual event produced by Crain’s Detroit Business that revealed the 100 companies; the company will also be recognized on August 17 in a special publication by Crain’s Detroit Business.
