NetSmart Plus, a division of award-winning office technology provider Applied Innovation, has partnered with Holland-based Blackport Solutions, effective December 14, 2020. With this partnership, NetSmart Plus is able to offer Voice over IP (VoIP) systems and carrier services under the Blackport Solutions brand.
Blackport Solutions’ customers and employees will partner with NetSmart Plus, a rapidly growing division of Applied Innovation responsible for information technology support and managed network services. According to NetSmart Plus’ General Manager, adding telephony products and carrier services enhances the company’s mission of helping businesses communicate better with their customers, vendors, and employees.

This will further enhance the customer experience with our combined expertise,” said Bryan Teipel, General Manager of NetSmart Plus. “We can now offer phone solutions that are reliable, scalable, and easy-to-use for customers ranging from small businesses with a few phones to enterprise customers utilizing a dedicated call center.”
Blackport Solutions is the fifth acquisition Applied Innovation, parent company to NetSmart Plus, has completed during the COVID-19 pandemic which included: Lasers Resource in Grand Rapids, Kopy Sales in Traverse City, Michigan, Upstream Office Solutions in Tampa, Florida, and ACR in Luna Pier, Michigan. This acquisition is very strategic and will be important to adapting to changes in the industry.
